THE ZARAH PROJECT
The Zarah Project provides meals to children during the school holidays. While many children benefit from school nutrition programs during the term, they often face challenges securing meals when school is closed. This initiative ensures that children continue to receive a nutritious meal throughout the holiday period.
Brain Food Matric Meal
Exams are a stressful period for students, and we believe that if we take care of their basic needs, then they will be equipped to achieve more. We provide a meal pack before each exam to matriculants in our local schools so they have the brain food to excel.
Monthly Grocery Hamper Drive
Every month, we supply a grocery hamper to families in need. These hampers include essentials that will support households and feed the members within their homes.
Mahala Market
Placing pre-loved treasures in the hands of those who have a need for them. We collect and distribute clothing and household items for community members who are in need.
Disaster Relief
The province of KZN has, in recent years, been battered by an array of disasters. These projects enable us to support people affected by such disasters and pull them out of unforeseen potholes in the road of life.
Projects
We believe in improving our local community. As a foundation, we endeavour to improve the standards of various community organisations as the need arises. These include, but are not limited to, schools, shelters, and community centres.
Current Project: Bonela Secondary School Upliftment
In 2023, the Embassy Foundation adopted Bonela Secondary
School in order to assist staff and learners in improving their standard of
education by meeting essential needs and improving their current environment. In this project, we assisted with meals for the learners before their exams as well as the upgrade of their school hall. This enabled students to attain a 100% pass rate, a first for the school. This year, we endeavour to upgrade their classrooms and bathrooms.
